Updating album covers in itunes
When the picture won't update from itunes I've always just right clicked on a picture on the internet, then pasted it into the artwork field but recently when I've been doing that the picture pastes blank. Some of our readers wanted to know how to update the album information for the tracks in their music library and how to add album covers, so that they show up in Windows Media Player. To force the download of the covers on i OS, make sure you are on wifi and then go to the Music app and tap on . And apply it across all the albums mp3s using the aforementioned tool.As each album comes to view on your screen you'll notice the album art gets downloaded and becomes available (you can confirm this by the spinning wheel icon on the top left of the status bar. Upon adding the tracks to i Tunes, it will sync and play with the proper artwork always.
What I found is i Tunes keeps this separate and if you end up recovering music etc or move your music into another library, you will lose the cover art. While on wi-fi, if I go to the Album view in i OS/Music, there are several albums that it does not download covers for, despite those albums having covers defined in i Tunes, and being Matched. Then, go and click on the album itself on your desktop within itunes. There will be a box that opens and an empty space for artwork. The wizard will start searching for the album in its database. If the search will return no results, you will have to update the existing information and include what you know about it.In this example, both the album and the artist are unknown.Type the name of the artist and the album and then click on and Windows Media Player will update all the tracks from the album to include all the available information.
